Dutch Automotive Week in May 2011 - Building the Future in Mobility

Creation date: 14 May 2011

Leading parties in the Brainport region in the Netherlands are organizing the Automotive Week 2011, to be held from 15 to 22 May 2011. For a whole week the region will be the international stage for the latest technological developments in the automotive field. Industry, government and research and education institutes are joining forces with the theme of ‘Building the Future in Mobility’.

As part of the Automotive Week, we are pleased to invite you to partake on Monday 16th – Tuesday 17th May 2011. In an informal setting, you will have a unique opportunity to see and experience for yourself the automotive industry’s latest developments in the field of smart mobility. We will be showing the results of the SPITS Project during which we will also be having a live road tour. We would be more than pleased to welcome you on these days to our SPITS Technology Show.

Please let us know by April 2nd if you would like to come and we will organize a free SPITS entrance card for you.

On the previous day, Sunday 15 May, three unique experiments in the field of cooperative driving will be performed on the A270 highway between Helmond and Eindhoven, which will be closed to traffic for this purpose. The Cooperative systems involve interaction both between vehicles themselves, and between vehicles and the infrastructure. You are welcome to join this event as well.

If you would like an exclusive update on the future driving experience on an international level and how the parties in the Brainport region are creating sustainable mobility solutions, then we will be very glad to welcome you at the Automotive Week in Eindhoven.
