FOT sessions at ITS Stockholm - presentations available!

Among the plenty sessions at the ITS World Congress in Stockhkolm in September, two were of particular interest to the FOT community.

• SIS29 – European large-scale Field Operational Tests on active safety systems (euroFOT and TeleFOT): first results; 24 September, Stockholm

This session presented first results of the two European FOTs euroFOT and TeleFOT. The speakers addressed issues such as functions and scenarios, data aquisition, methodological issues, and the organisation of vehicle management centres.

• SIS30 – International cooperation areas for Field Operational Tests

 This session brought together representatives from US, Japan, and Europe to discuss how FOTs fit into the deployment plan of ITS in the each region, the role of different types of FOTs and other tools for assessment of benefits, and to illustrate concrete cooperation at international level.
