IEEE Network Magazine: Special issue on vehicular communications networks

Creation date: 23 April 2009

IEEE Network - The Magazine of Global Internetworking, will dedicate a special issue to ‘Advances in Vehicular Communications Networks’. More particularly, this special issue will focus on the ‘phase 2’ of research and development in vehicular communications networks, in which standardisation and field trials play a key role, as well as the refinement and extension of the network architectures and protocols that have been defined. The magazine invites paper submissions sharing the research developments and efforts on a range of topics in this area, including ‘Field Operational Tests for cooperative systems employing vehicular communications networks’. Manuscripts should be submitted to the guest editors by 15 July 2009, with a foreseen publication date of the magazine in January 2010.

IEEE Network - The Magazine of Global Internetworking is published on a bimonthly basis and aims to inform readers on topics of interest to the networking community. As such, IEEE Network provides a focus for highlighting and discussing major computer communications issues and developments.
