Reports on naturalistic driving - PROLOGUE project deliverables

Creation date: 25 October 2010

The project 'Promoting real Life Observations for Gaining Understanding of road user behaviour in Europe' – for short PROLOGUE – aims to contribute to reducing the number of road casualties in Europe by further developing and testing the naturalistic observation methodology. PROLOGUE project recently has published a range of interesting reports on naturalistic driving studies.

  • D1.1 Topics and applications of previous and current naturalistic studies - a comprehensive overview of naturalistic driving studies
  • D1.2 The areas of interest of potential users for naturalistic observations studies - results of a questionnaire survey amongst potential users with the aim to identify what type of information, to be collected by means of a large-scale ND study, has their interest
  • D2.1 Data collections, analysis, methods and equipment for naturalistic studies and requirements for the different application areas - The report aims to develop an inventory of the current and appropriate data collection and data analysis equipment for naturalistic observation studies together with a theoretical analysis of the requirements for different application areas.
  • D1.3 A catalogue of applications and research topics for future naturalistic studies - The report presents a framework for defining research topics and questions that are
especially relevant and suitable for being investigated in such a naturalistic driving study.
  • D2.2 Methodological and organisational issues and requirements for different application areas - a description of the methodological issues related to naturalistic driving studies

All reports can be accessed here.
